WASP

Unholy Terror

Metal-Is

Screaming WASP-flavored metal, along the lines of the last album I heard of theirs, Helldorado. That’s pretty much all there is to it, except for the lyrics. Where Helldorado was more or less a salute to the Holmes/Lawless lifestyle, Unholy Terror is a go-for-the throat attack on Christianity, or rather American Fundamentalism, whatever that may be. Blackie provides his annotations to the title song and “Charisma” in the liner notes and it appears that these songs, both somewhat anti-Christian, cover such diverse topics as the SS connection with the assassination of John Lennon, The Popes and Al Gore, and Satan. Additionally, based on the liner notes themselves, Blackie Lawless and crew are looking into Hinduism, I can’t wait for the next album…

This record does rock, mind you.
