Warped Tour 2001 Compilation

Various Artists

Side One Dummy

Another year, another Warped Tour, and another compilation featuring the bands appearing on said traveling punk rock sideshow. This year•s compilation is a treat in that it includes mostly unreleased material – only tracks from The Bouncing Souls, Madcap, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, The Casualties, and Buck-O-Nine have previously seen release in the U.S. And with new tracks by the likes of Rancid, H2O, The Vandals, Swingin• Utters, Flogging Molly, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Living End, Sum 41, New Found Glory, and No Use For a Name (with a totally unexpected and cool cover of Depeche Mode•s •Enjoy The Silence•), it•s obvious that this is more than just some throw-away quickie souvenir A nice snapshot of what•s going on in punk rock today… even if it does give more exposure to the incessantly annoying and abysmal A.F.I. (oh boy, here comes the hate mail again…).
