Skins & Pins, Vol. II

Various Artists

GMM

Atlanta’s GMM has hit a homerun worthy of Chief Nokahoma with this one. Call it streetpunk or Oi, this is some of the best of the genre collected, including lots of GMM artists but lots of others as well. Big names like Dropkick Murphys, Agnostic Front (covering “Nobody’s Heroes” by Stiff Little Fingers), Anti Heroes (unfortunately represented here by the maudlin “Sunset Unlimited,” one of the weaker cuts from the album it was culled from), and Templars. With the exception of the usual couple of cuts apparently (no lyric sheet) glorifying violence, this is good stuff.
