Nettwerk America

Now that chill out is two minutes away from being officially declared its own genre, the buzzards have now descended and started plundering the body of its riches. The end result will be either rich fertilizer for the future or, well, shit. It is hard to distinguish the exact nature and quality of the hard matter on this compilation – because so much of it is so soft. While there are some pretty cool songs from Miguel Graca, Earball, Pom, and Greg Long, most of this disc is a somnambulist’s wet dream. Full of drone and boredom – the perfect tranquilizer. Instead of chilling out, you’ll find yourself snoring.
