Mark A.R. Kleiman points out, with the help of a reader, a niggling little detail about the debate I haven’t seen anyone else mention and I certainly missed.
Namely, that George W. Bush said in the debate that he never dreamed, when he was running in 2000, that he might one day have to commit troops to combat.
Ok, so…you’re telling me…a man ran for president without considering the possibility he might have to send men & women into battle?
That isn’t very reassuring.
