The Sound of the Crowd

Jane Wiedlin, no!

It’s a bad day to be an ’80s icon. First, I was reminded that it’s the anniversary of that poor, dumb bastard Michael Hutchence from INXS comitting suicide. Coincidentally (though maybe not in the cosmic sense) I listened to a remix of “Need You Tonight” in my car today.

Then I found out that pixie-haired Jane Wiedlin is one of the stars of the new season of “The Surreal Life,” starting next year. Her housemates? An “America’s Next Top Model,” a Brady kid, “Mini-Me”…

And this is the rhythm guitarist & primary composer for the Go-Go’s and the helium-voice behind such creatively successful solo singles as “Rush Hour”.

Did the last reunion album (which was great) really sell that badly?
