Authority Zero

Andiamo

Lava

Authority Zero’s wildly fluctuating musical style makes the band pretty hard to categorize. But it seems that’s exactly how they want it.

Andiamo certainly makes for an interesting listen, as full-on So-Cal punk-pop tracks such as “Revolution” and “Find Your Way” clash explosively with such inspired songs as the band’s cover of Wall of Voodoo’s “Mexican Radio” and the instrumental “Chile Con Crudo.” “A Thousand Year War” and the short but sweet “Siempre Loco” draw on the band’s ska influences, while “Solitude” rivals “Revolution” for the album’s catchiest tune.

Andiamo is Italian for “We go.” That much is certainly true about Authority Zero, but the Italian word for eclectic, diverse or entirely compelling would be just as appropriate.
