Cheney as pit bull
If I was a red state rightwinger, I’d probably be getting a bit irked at the assumption that the Bush administration seems to hold, that is, if someone in a nice suit blathers it, it’s the truth. Even when it’s so easily debunked.
The latest barking dog is Big Dick Cheney, who yesterday said, to start, the following remarkable phrase:
…in Washington you can ordinarily rely on some basic measure of truthfulness and good faith in the conduct of political debate.
Thats so laughable I don’t need to comment. Instead, go read this, which lays out 51 outright lies by our VP on the subject of the war in Iraq.
Or, amuse yourself with more from the hung one:
The President and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory, or their backbone – but we’re not going to sit by and let them rewrite history.
We’re going to continue throwing their own words back at them. And far more important, we’re going to continue sending a consistent message to the men and women who are fighting the war on terror in Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other fronts.</i>
Yeah, they got your message. Please, get blown up by IEDs in the quest to turn Iraq into an Iranian-led satellite in civil war, and when you get home, your unemployment rate will be 3 times higher than others your age, and you’ll most likely develop complications (such as kids with no eyes, that sort of thing) from the DU we are using in battle.
Yup, they have the message. Thats why you can’t meet recruitment goals. And it seems the rest of the country seems to be losing faith in Bush, Inc’s stream of crap, his approval rating has hit 34%. No president has ever bounced back from numbers that low, and remember, 3 more years.
