Truth to Power

Today in Morality for the Mindless

I could probably do nothing but post articles about the efforts of the anti-reality crowd to force their ignorant, pitiful way of (non) thinking for the rest of time, but frankly, these people both sicken and sadden me, so I can only take so much. So, for today’s entries in “My way or the highway” we have…

Court to rule on Christian group’s policy</a>

The Supreme Court will review whether a public university may refuse to officially recognize a campus Christian group because it bars gays and nonbelievers from its membership.

The decision to hear the case will require the justices to examine the intersection of religious freedom and a university’s ability to enforce nondiscrimination policies.

The Christian Legal Society at the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco several years ago began requiring its members to sign a statement of faith. The society says a person who “advocates or unrepentantly engages in sexual conduct outside of a marriage between a man and a woman” cannot become a member of the group and participate in setting its policies. </em>

Public university. Paid for by tax dollars. Hence part of the state. Congress can make no law establishing a national religion.

End.of.review.

Don’t want gays? Form a private club. Want to be on campus? Then quit with the gay hatin’. Simple answers for simple people.

Next, lets all join together, in whatever way we can, to as completely and totally as possible RUIN Merry Hyatt’s Christmas:

Redding woman’s Christmas carol initiative picks up allies

Merry Hyatt has found allies in her quest to put an initiative on the ballot next year requiring public schools to play Christmas carols.

The initiative would require schools to provide children the opportunity to listen to or perform Christmas carols, and would subject the schools to litigation if the rule isn’t followed.

“Bottom line is Christmas is about Christmas,” said Erin Ryan, president of the Redding Tea Party Patriots. “That’s why we have it. It’s not about winter solstice or Kwanzaa. It’s like, ‘wow you guys, it’s called Christmas for a reason.’ “</em>

So this dimwit wants to use our money to force children to listen to songs that promote her fictional image of the world.

I hope that Mary Hyatt, or someone close to her, googles and finds this post. In that hope, I offer this:

Mary Hyatt, you are not an American. You may well be a Christian. I don’t know. And I don’t care. You are not allowed to use the State to force your mythology on me or mine.

Mary Hyatt….fuck off. You are ignorant slime who doesn’t deserve to live in a nation ruled by a Constitution. A Constitution that you evidently don’t believe in.

Again, fuck off. </strong>
