Better Together

Winter Park Playhouse

You can never have too many sequins, and you can never have too much verve for the Winter Park Playhouse lobby cabaret. Kate and Lindsay last played together in last Christmas’s “Winter Wonderettes” and now they’ve become roommates and BFF’s. Their tunes tonight dig into these happy moments with hits ranging from “I Will Follow” to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” Most of the numbers are duets, but a few solos arise: “Love Me, Hold Me” and “You’ve Got Friend” top those selections. They even risk and audience sing-along with Abba’s “Dancing Queen.” We punch out with “Get Happy,” and we certainly were happy with this flute of bubble champagne music. Even as Winter Park Cabaret’s go, this one is particularly happy, and a great start to the 2019 season.
