Marcellus Hall Releases “Behind the Stadium” Video

Single is second from forthcoming solo album I Will Never Let You Down

Marcellus Hall, NY singer-songwriter, Railroad Jerk and White Hassle frontman, and children’s book artist, recently released a stop-motion video featuring his artwork for “Behind The Stadium,” the second single from his forthcoming solo album I Will Never Let You Down. Hall worked with Nancy Howell and Mark Lerner, Catskills-area stop-motion animators who had previously made videos for Loudon Wainwright III, Ambrosia Parsley, and Holly Miranda.

I provided rough artwork, which they used to fashion a pseudo narrative for the song. The result is a rare instance of combining my art and music,” says Hall.

I Will Never Let You Down, Hall’s third solo LP with Damon Smith (bass) and Mike Shapiro (drums), will be available digitally and on vinyl on February 9. Follow Ink 19 for a link to read Steven Garnett’s full album review on February 9.
