Fresh Fruit for the Liberation

“Under the guidance of a psychic unknown, the group of revolutionary-literary-music and art workers (SCM) have been immersed in a strenuous struggle to overcome many obstacles, including their ongoing battle against the MAN.” Puhhhlease! I looked forward to listening to this CD, a collection of rarities, but was immediately turned off by the aforementioned quote. I will admit, “Corner Man” is a very cool song. The other 10, however, I found to be very cheesy hippie/psychedelic dribble. Oh yeah, and some of SCM’s activities include collecting medicinal herbs (yeah right, medicinal), and transporting dung up the mountain for the commune. Please, keep the dung up there next time.
