The second compilation of industrial/electronic bands covering classic new wave songs. Most of the reworkings are really cool and well done, my favorites being Assemblage 23’s version of “Love My Way,” Xorcist’s cover of “1999,” Hate Dept.’s cover of “Planet Earth,” Luxt’s cover of “Safety Dance,” Scar Tissue’s cover of “88 Lines About 44 Women,” and Covenant’s cover of “Norman Bates.” You get the idea. The ideas are fresh and good, the material familiar and worth revisiting. I like this a lot. Great job. 21st Circuitry, P.O. Box 170100, San Francisco, CA 94117; http://www.21stcircuitry.com
