Bad Astronaut

Acrophobe

Honest Don’s

Anyone familiar with Honest Don’s knows that there’s a base sound to a lot of the acts signed on. It’s punk, but it’s a happy punk. Bad Astronaut fits that description, and falls into more of an emo sound on a lot of the tracks on Acrophobe, such as the melancholy ballad “Quiet” and a odd Foo Fighters sound on “Anecdote.” All in all, it’s an adequate punkish CD, but the world isn’t going to stop if you don’t make it part of your collection. The lyrics trip off the instruments and seem sort of out of place in a lot of the songs.
