Adema

Immortal EP

Arista

Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis’ younger brother is back with a brand new EP for you all. Whoo hoo. From the title track, which would’ve gone platinum only a wee year ago, to the super derivative power ballad “Nutshell” – think Skid Row caught on an unusually miserable day – Adema make sure that no borders are being crossed, no conceptions are challenged. Obviously, if you just can’t get enough of all the nu-metal stuff, you’ll like this one too. For everyone else, Adema are one of the dumbest bands on a scene where there=EDs stiff competition, and it’s only the live version of “Do What You Want to Do” that manages to cheer this reviewer up a bit. Elsewhere, the three new tracks on here are amazingly dull, standard-fare nu-metal, while there is a couple of run-of-the-mill remixes of previous hits and the single version of “Giving In.” Their 15 minutes must surely be up, yes?
