Rosen Siblings Release Almanac
Los Angeles duo Cones, brothers Jonathan and Michael Rosen, released their gorgeous sophomore album Almanac August 5. On the album, Jonathan’s intuitive, abstract approach and Michael’s technical prowess combine to create an intoxicating blend of shimmering psychedelic exploration, nostalgic lyrics, and muscular pop craftsmanship. Jonathan, middle school art teacher, New Yorker cartoonist, and visual artist whose trippy hand-drawn animations and drawings have been styled for Erykah Badu, Toro y Moi, Pond, and Eleanor Friedberger, is the band’s singer and principal songwriter. Michael is a classically trained pianist, composer, and producer who carefully crafts their recordings at his Los Angeles studio, Honeymoon Suite, and works as a spatial audio software engineer.
The band released their first album, Pictures of Pictures, on Dangerbird Records in 2019.
