Compilations are almost a curse (there are so many horrible ones), but it’s the cheapest way to expose people to a lot of bands at one time. This one fares very well. There’s a lot of stuff on here that doesn’t suit my tastes, but still enough that does to keep me interested. They’ve packed this CD to almost maximum capacity with a nice range of mostly newschool punk. Personal favorites are tracks from Discount, 30 Foot Fall, Bigwig, Gob, Backside, Whippersnapper, Sam The Butcher, and Boredom. There are also contributions from Bickley, NOFX, Pulley, Pennywise, MxPx, Strung Out, The Drapes, Straight Faced, Slick Shoes, Whitekaps, Homegrown, 98 Mute, Quincy Punx, Dynamite Boy, Apocalypse Hoboken, Chuck, Assorted Jellybeans, The Crowd, Krhissy, Horace Pinker, Ballgagger, and The Outside.
