Push The Button

Virgin

British dance music act The Chemical Brothers have been hugely successful in the UK and Europe, and with a tune as superb as “Galvanise” on Push The Button, there’s no reason why they could not repeat that success in the States. Crossing all kinds of stylistic boundaries, the album is a master class of innovative beats and is possibly the best work of Tom Rowlands’s and Ed Simons’s career. “The Boxer” is an addictive, hard-hitting floor-filler. “Believe” uses a multitude of odd samples to drive its relentless energy, while the breathtaking instrumental “Surface To Air” is a beautiful, hypnotic escape into electronica.

Push The Button sees The Chemical Brothers raise their game once again with a set that pushes boundaries as well as all the right buttons.
