The Librarians

The Pathetic Aesthetic

Pandacide

There’s no shushing these librarians – they crash out of the speakers like an Oxford Unabridged smashing through a display case. “Peace + Quiet,” the opening track, throws off sparks like Pleased to Meet Me-era Replacements, down to the air of resignation over realizing you’re becoming another old guy. The rest of the album follows in pretty much the same vein, churning out sticky fuzz pop, like the bubblegum punk the kids seem to like these days but without the fake I.D.s and with the job in the morning. Damn entertaining.
