Orlando Calling Festival

Central Floridians, the days of packing up your camping gear and making long, expensive, complicated trips to major music festivals that are sometimes hours, sometimes STATES away may very well be in your rearview! The second weekend of November (Nov. 12 and 13, to be exact) brings us the inaugural Orlando Calling Festival.
Brought to Florida by Festival Republic (the clever UK promoters responsible for the Glastonbury, Reading, and Leeds Festivals, to name a few), this two day fest could very well turn into something both EPIC and ANNUAL! Scheduled to be held at the Citrus Bowl and featuring nearly 100 bands across four stages, the eclectic lineup is tailored to tempt just about every palate.
Day One appeals mostly to the rock and indie fans, with The Killers, The Raconteurs, and Pixies topping a bill that also includes The Avett Brothers, The Roots, and Less Than Jake. Day Two is set to draw an older audience, with Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, Kid Rock, and Blake Shelton closing out a day that will find Dwight Yoakam, Buddy Guy, and Chris Isaak sharing air space.
Tickets can be purchased through the festival’s website or through Ticketmaster as single-day or weekend passes.
Support this event, Florida! This could be our Bonnaroo, our Coachella, our Glastonbury! But only if we SHOW UP!
